Join us on Saturday, 6th June 2026, for an immersive, hands-on workshop held within the magical little space of the Gaunts House Herbal Apothecary. This course is designed for those who wish to move away from synthetic products and embrace the power of nature’s pharmacy because we all deserve to feel good in our skin and be healthy.

Facilitated by a fully qualified Medical Herbalist with 25 years of experience and a diploma in Natural Organic Skincare, this workshop provides a rare opportunity to learn from a master of the craft. Whether you are a total beginner or have previous experience, you will leave with the knowledge to design and produce your own handmade skincare products. Therefore,  you will be able to make them again at home.

What You Will Discover:
This workshop starts from the very beginning- no previous knowledge or training is required. Terry will guide you through:

  1. The Science of Nature: Detailed descriptions of Oils, Waxes, Butters, Hydrosols, Emulsifiers, and Essential Oils.
  2. Oil vs. Water: Understanding the vital difference between oil-based cosmetics (balms, salves, ointments) and water-based products (creams and lotions).
  3. The “Hand-Made” Skill: A live cosmetic cream-making demonstration followed by a hands-on session where you create your own range.
Your Hand-Crafted Collection:
Participants will make and take home a full set of luxury organic products:
  • Two Cosmetic Creams: A nourishing moisturiser and a potent anti-ageing cream.
  • One Rich Body Butter (Vegan).
  • 3 to 4 Lip Balms (Customizable with beeswax or vegan wax).

The Gaunts’ House Experience:
Held at the heart of our 1,200 acres, the workshop allows you to connect with the land that inspires our herbal traditions. Arrive from 9:30 AM to settle in with tea, coffee, and biscuits before we commence at 10:00 AM. After the session, participants are invited to stroll through the land guided by Terry to connect with nature: visit the herbal garden and spend time among the beautiful trees.

This five-day retreat is an opportunity to learn Zhineng Qigong –  a Chinese healing practice that works with Qi (life vitality), movement and awareness to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

It is suitable for complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike. No previous experience is needed.

Zhineng Qigong was developed in China in the 1970s by Professor Dr Pang Ming, who went on to found the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Centre, known internationally as the world’s first medicine-less hospital. Over 300,000 people were supported there in healing from chronic, mental and terminal illness. The results were remarkable and are well documented. Learn to balance and harmonise your body’s energy in this retreat with the tools used at the medicine-less hospital.

The Qigong Holistic Health Retreat is led by Master Yuantong Liu, one of the world’s most experienced Zhineng Qigong teachers. He trained directly under Dr Pang Ming at the Huaxia Centre and spent a decade there before dedicating his life to bringing these teachings to people across the world. He has since taught in China, Europe, the USA, South Africa and beyond. People who learn from Master Liu speak consistently of the same things – greater calm, more energy, relief from long-standing symptoms, and a clarity about their own lives that stays with them long after the retreat ends.

During the five days you will be guided through Zhineng Qigong theory, practice and Hunyuan Qi healing experiences. Hunyuan Qi Therapy is the specific healing approach within Zhineng Qigong that Master Liu and Britta Stalling have developed and taught internationally, working with the body’s Qi field to support healing at physical, emotional and energetic levels. What you learn here you can continue independently at home.
