Join us on Saturday, 6th June 2026, for an immersive, hands-on workshop held within the magical little space of the Gaunts House Herbal Apothecary. This course is designed for those who wish to move away from synthetic products and embrace the power of nature’s pharmacy because we all deserve to feel good in our skin and be healthy.
Facilitated by a fully qualified Medical Herbalist with 25 years of experience and a diploma in Natural Organic Skincare, this workshop provides a rare opportunity to learn from a master of the craft. Whether you are a total beginner or have previous experience, you will leave with the knowledge to design and produce your own handmade skincare products. Therefore, you will be able to make them again at home.
What You Will Discover:
This workshop starts from the very beginning- no previous knowledge or training is required. Terry will guide you through:
- The Science of Nature: Detailed descriptions of Oils, Waxes, Butters, Hydrosols, Emulsifiers, and Essential Oils.
- Oil vs. Water: Understanding the vital difference between oil-based cosmetics (balms, salves, ointments) and water-based products (creams and lotions).
- The “Hand-Made” Skill: A live cosmetic cream-making demonstration followed by a hands-on session where you create your own range.
Your Hand-Crafted Collection:
Participants will make and take home a full set of luxury organic products:
- Two Cosmetic Creams: A nourishing moisturiser and a potent anti-ageing cream.
- One Rich Body Butter (Vegan).
- 3 to 4 Lip Balms (Customizable with beeswax or vegan wax).
The Gaunts’ House Experience:
Held at the heart of our 1,200 acres, the workshop allows you to connect with the land that inspires our herbal traditions. Arrive from 9:30 AM to settle in with tea, coffee, and biscuits before we commence at 10:00 AM. After the session, participants are invited to stroll through the land guided by Terry to connect with nature: visit the herbal garden and spend time among the beautiful trees.
Investment: £45 (Includes all equipment, raw materials, ingredients, luxury organic cosmetic products to take home, along with comprehensive workshop notes so you have a gift that keeps giving – make more products anytime you need with the knowledge you will learn on this course).

Timings: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Arrival from 9:30 AM)
Location: The Herbal Apothecary, Gaunts House,Wimborne, Dorset. BH21 4JQ: arrive via the Petersham Lane entrance.
Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch. We will have a 30-minute break to enjoy the surroundings, but as we are in a secluded sanctuary, shops are not accessible within this time.
What to bring: Please bring an apron to protect your clothes, lunch and anything else that may support your comfort.
Capacity: Strictly limited to 6 spaces to ensure an intimate, high-quality learning environment.
