Escape to the countryside for an enchanting afternoon of passion, music, and dance. Join Leo and Tracy from Tango Fandango for a special Argentine Tango Afternoon at Gaunts House Retreat near Wimborne, Dorset, on Sunday, July 26th, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Whether you are looking to refine your technique or simply want to lose yourself in the social dance, this event offers the perfect summer escape. Hosted inside a historic, idyllic country house from another age, you will dance surrounded by expansive estate grounds and timeless English charm. The Tango Programme
Our afternoon is structured to give you the perfect balance of expert instruction and relaxed social dancing:

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Tango Class in the Ballroom: Step onto the floor for an immersive Argentine Tango class held inside the grand Gaunts House ballroom.

3:00 PM – 5:30 PM | Social Dancing & Refreshments: After the class, the floor opens for social dancing. Enjoy the vintage atmosphere, connect with fellow dancers, and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and a delicious selection of homemade cakes.
Gaunts House is a renowned retreat venue nestled in the heart of rural Dorset, just a short drive from the historic market town of Wimborne Minster. Known for its deep tranquility and stunning architecture, the estate provides a magical, spacious backdrop that perfectly mirrors the grace and stillness of authentic Argentine Tango.
Free On-Site Parking Information
On-site parking is fully available for all attendees. Upon entering the estate via Petersham Lane, you will find the guest car park located immediately on your left-hand side, directly opposite the historic Stable Block. The main entrance to the house is just a short walk down the gravel path, where you can take a moment to arrive fully and enjoy the scenery of the trees, listen to the birdsong and absorb the nature – so you can dance from a place of inner stillness and deep listening.
Getting to the Ballroom:
Come through via the main entrance pillars and door, and the team will greet you warmly and walk with you through to the ballroom.

To maintain an intimate atmosphere with plenty of space on the ballroom floor, all places must be booked in advance. We cannot accept walk-ins on the day. You can secure your tickets in two easy ways:
