Vegan lunch, teas and coffees included.

Gaunts House, Scania, Heike and Gaby would like to invite you to a day of deeper connection to nature and self. Drawing on the therapeutic power of mindfulness, ecotherapy, meditation and Sound.

The day will begin by harnessing the therapeutic power of the natural world by exploring the grounds of Gaunts House using nature based activities. Being in natural surroundings has a positive effect on our wellbeing. In modern day, nature and human minds have traditionally been separated… so the day begins exploring, connecting and bringing the inner child into play…

We will move on to Forest Bathing (walking meditation in woods) this is “shinrin-Yoku” (taking the atmosphere of the forest) recent research has shown that people that forest bathe experience lower levels of the stress hormones cortisol after their walks in the forest.

We then come back together to enjoy a Vegan Lunch (included in the price of the ticket)

In the afternoon we Join Heike and her amazing drums and percussion instruments for a drumming circle and end the day with Scania and the Gongs

The Gong and Drum provides an psychoacoustic gateway to heightened states of awareness and consciousness. It is an ideal tool for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and to break up emotional blockages. When skilfully played, gongs stimulate and resonate all cells in the human body simultaneously and recalibrate the parasympathetic nervous system.

The Gongs and Drums will create a sacred space, they may allow us to attune our energies and link with our higher selves. During this Gong and Drum afternoon we can be reminded of the fact that in spite of outward appearances, we are really beings of light occupying physical bodies. The gong and drum sessions will allow time and space to connect with that divine-light energy in order to recharge our “spiritual batteries”

Hosted by Gaunts House and Scania and the Gongs

Join us at Gaunts House on New Years Eve for this unique Psychoacoustic immersive performance in a drink and drug free environment.

The Arkam Project is a unique and mindful musical performance that contains music compositions of both live acoustic pieces and digital elements, conveyed in a surround sound immersive environment. The live acoustic element is performed with Gongs played by Scania Price and digital audio elements composed by Mark O’Sullivan.

The digital music is written in 432Hz and contains binaural beats delivered through a 4 speaker system surround sound format which offers a truly immersive and very deep meditative experience. Notes of G, A, B, C, D, E, and F bathe the body in sound and activate the chakra system, effectively washing sound from your base though to the crown, in long evolving sweeps and deep tones. Other sounds also pan from left to right and front to back giving a spiralling effect, taking you on your journey. The root note of this meditation is C for the heart, so this New Years Eve performance will be based on Love for Humanity and the planet. Scania and Mark invite you to this two hour live performance ,which as far as we know is the first of it’s kind to be delivered through a 4 speaker system surround sound format offering a truly exciting, immersive and deep meditative experience.

Mark Has been a DJ since 1982, Has studied medicine techniques in the US and is a practitioner in the ancient healing arts and has studied amplified healing with Quan Yin. He received a BA with honours in Sound Engineering & Music Production at Dbs in Bristol in 2017, Since then Mark developed an audio company Arkam Media and worked with many artists. Mark utilises body energy observations and the effects of sound waves on the human body to develop his music for healing.

Doors Open 7:30 and the performance starts at 8pm-10:00pm followed by fruit and Goodbyes. We will offer you a candle to take away with you, so you can welcome the New Year in, in what ever way you wish.

    EASTER WEEKEND AT GAUNTS HOUSE

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER AND

    WATERLOGGED GROUNDS.

We have made the decision to postpone this event until a weekend in May, Saturday 12 th and Sunday 13 th.  The incessant rain and the already waterlogged grounds around Gaunts House is proving a problem and it won’t be possible to use the Woodland Stage and Green Hut for the Saturday evening musical event.  We also had outside day time activities organised for Saturday and Sunday so the weekend would be greatly diminished and disappointing for everyone. The decision, by consensus, to postpone until May has not been taken lightly – we were all looking forward to the weekend but we will definitely concentrate our efforts into making the 12th and 13th FABULOUS.  The bluebells will be out, and they are glorious here, so hopefully lots of people will come and join us then for a SPRING GATHERING and a WOODLAND STAGE MUSICAL EVENING.

All of us at Gaunts send our apologies we’re really sorry for any disappointment caused if you were thinking of coming along this weekend. Please put the next dates in your diary as we really hope to see you then.

Come and join us for an evening of connection our second experimental conscious clubbing at Gaunts House. We had such an amazing time that we felt the event was worth doing again. We have the DJ’s, the space and the rest is evolving as we speak…..

So if you fancy coming to join us for 3 hours of conscious connection with two hours of DJ sets then get your tickets fast……..

We are happy for this event to be £10

There will be a non alcoholic and drug free policy and we will be running an alcohol free bar, raw chocolate and stuff ………

So whats it all about, we have found as we have become more sensitive we have felt the need less and less to use some sort of substance to help us relax on the dance floor. We found that the ecstatic feeling really got us going when we just connected into the rhythm of the music and the vibe of the dancing crowd.

Adding maybe a fresh juice or some raw cacao drink, gave us the natural burst of delicious energy, and then we danced the dance of the conscious (which believe me connects you to true self).
When you dance with alcohol and drugs you alter the perception of reality, softening fears of being judged or how we appear to be great dancers (enter facebook the next day…did I really do that, when i felt like that!).

Come and dance how you like... stomping, skipping, dancing what ever! You may feel self conscious for a few moments, like i did on my first encounter into sober dancing at conscious clubs, but this passed. I wanted to enter the collective energy that came from the drug and alcohol free space. So we invite you to just drop into the music and let the rest follow……………

Come alone or with friends, but do buy tickets before hand as this is limited to a set number.
    Tickets £10

    10am - 5pm Gaunts House

Come and join me (Roxie Morris) at Gaunts House countryside mansion in Wimborne for a day of profound discussion, reflection and healing which will offer you a life changing experience and take your happiness to new levels.

I have taken all the best bits from the Happiness Course and condensed it into a day where we will explore many subjects that may well be keeping you stuck in a negative cycle.  Learning how are I will be happy when…. has the power to hold us back living in fear of the future and regret of the past, but what about today’s happiness.  We will also look at society’s definition of success as we compare to our definition and ask whose success path are we following and why, this leads nicely onto the comparison hangover, you know that crappy feeling you get after you have been comparing your oh so boring life to the someone else’s!

One of the major keys to happiness is our relationships and being able to forgive others and ourselves. I see many destructive patterns stem from people holding bitterness in their hearts.  It is an area that many of us women struggle with (me included), but as we delve deep into significant relationships we explore how allowing ourselves to forgive and to become vulnerable will provide you with a shift in perception and awareness which will allow inner healing to begin.

We will be working with the REACH model of forgiveness, this is will enable you to let go of past hurts and make a decision once and for all to no longer have an emotional bond with this person.  See how your story has the power to heal you as you go from victim to victor.

We use metaphors to let go of these hurts and solidify the act to forgive, in doing so we will all make our way to the secret garden where the fire pit will be waiting, we will burn our REACH models and set positive new intentions moving forward.  I will show you how to anchor these positive intentions so that when an old thought comes in of the person you will automatically think of that person with love and compassion.

    Top of Form

The day is £55 which includes a lovely home cooked vegetarian lunch, tea’s and you full colour workbooks, please click here to book your place, please note places are limited and do go fast. If you would like to come but are struggling with money please get in touch.

    Led by Aneesha Dillon.

Osho Pulsation is breath and emotional release therapy for emotional and spiritual development. It is a vivid and multifaceted journey of discovery for body, mind and soul. Our body knows deep truths and sometimes it holds deep tensions. This work is  opportunity to discover your inner self  through voice, breathing, movement, dance and contact. The breath in particular is a sure guide through tensions into joy and delight. We will follow this guide in many ways to release energies, shake off blockages,  feel our aliveness, and go deeper into meditation.

Aneesha Dillon, the creator of Osho Pulsation, is one of the world's most experienced breath therapists. She travels internationally, leading workshops in every continent.  She holds the space strongly but gently, so that you can be together with your breathing and make your own discoveries.

This retreat is for anyone who is curious about or who would like to deepen their understanding of Qigong.

Tricia Teahan and Sally Ibbotson are dedicated Qigong Teachers and practitioners with some 50 years' experience between them!!

They have worked together for the last 4 years running London based workshops and retreats.  This is the 3rd retreat that they will hold at Gaunt's House.

The retreat is suitable for complete beginners and those who are wanting to take time out to focus and practice Qigong in the company of like-minded people.

They will be offering formal Qigong tuition, some self-healing techniques, meditation and plenty of time in Nature.

Increasingly the movement therapy of choice for those wishing to combine mindfulness with physicality, Qigong is becoming popular amongst healthcare professionals as well as individuals.

Qigong is easy to learn, however a lifetime of challenges wait for those who wish to build a regular daily practice – it is deceptively simple and yet has great depth and power. Qigong is highly adaptable, fitting into the busiest of lifestyles and also opening paths to an understanding of mindfulness and Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

The retreat participants will be made up of past attendants and people teaching Qigong in, for example, NHS settings, There will therefore be plenty of opportunities for Teachers and students to personalize learning so that it is highly appropriate and effective.

There will be time for reflection and for one to one sessions with the retreat leaders.

A full schedule is available on request and a booking form can be found at www.teahan-therapies.com -  go to the Qigong Retreat page.

For further information please telephone Sally on 0798 004 6815 or email Tricia at patriciateahan@hotmail.com

    About the Course

The various situations that we blame for causing stress in our lives, are not the primary cause of the stress that we experience.  Rather stress arises from a deeper internal disturbance within.  Stress is within not outside. Awareness and experience of this pattern within us which causes stress, is the way to reduce its intensity and its effect on us. As this happens we can come out of the fixed melody that rules our lives and have the freedom to be in the ‘now’.   So, let us ‘Surf the Inner Net’ These workshops have already been created and conducted in India for three years, by the renowned international healer, author, teacher and homeopathic physician, Dr Rajan Sankaran.  Carolyn Shanti will be offering these courses both in the U.K and the U.S.A this year. In the U.K, this course will be offered in May and October in the lovely, thoughtfully created environment of Gaunt’s House in Dorset.  It will leave within you a feeling of being inspired, deeply nourished and grateful to have had the experience.  The workshop explores how the creative processes of meditation, painting, sound, music, doodling, words, writing, dancing and sharing, effectively aids in coping with illness, stress and trauma; resolving conflicts and problems, developing interpersonal and social skills; managing behavior; achieving insight and increased self-esteem.  This workshop deeply digs into the elements that contribute to both personal and collective wellness, which shape our exploration of the nature of compassion, gratitude, resilience, joy and other aspects of living whole heartedly in the moment and thus create substantial happiness within.

The course is open to everyone, participant numbers are limited to 20 people.

Carolyn Shanti is a healer, trainer and author.  Her first book is being published this year.  Carolyn holds a master’s degree in social work and has practiced for fifteen years in public hospitals in England and Australia, working with people suffering from cancer, patients in palliative care, neurology and traumatic brain injury.  She taught at Melbourne Carolyn Shanti M.A University in Australia for nearly four years.  In 1982 she trained as a holistic healer and held a practice in New York and London for sixteen years, seeing patients and teaching healing and the Bach Flower Essences.  She taught at the New York Open Center in Manhattan.  She has published numerous articles on social issues and some articles on holistic healing and the world of homeopathic medicine. Since 2014 Carolyn has studied and trained with Dr Rajan Sankaran at ‘the other song’, his ‘International Academy of Advanced Homoeopathy’ in Mumbai.  From May of this year, Carolyn will be offering lectures and workshops in the United Kingdom and the U.S.A, courses that incorporate training developed by Dr Sankaran called ‘Surfing Your Inner Net’ based on the W.I.S.E (Witnessing the Inner Song Experience), processes Dr Sankaran has developed to help people to understand core inner patterns and reactions.

Cost for the weekend, including meals, is from £299 for a shared room.  Single & ensuite available please ask for details.  For bookings please email Gaunts House.

Traditionally the focus of the shaman is the art of healing, and our one-year training reflects that. The shaman heals, not by his or her own power but by becoming a channel for higher forces that flow through the shaman to the person who needs healing. Native Americans call this ‘the hollow bone’, and in the Far East it’s called becoming ‘the hollow bamboo’. It requires that you surrender, so that you become an empty vessel through which spirit can work.

Embarking on this shamanic training will lead you into a powerfully transformative personal healing journey, enabling you to become a clear vessel for spirit. To become the hollow bone we first need to heal our heart and mind, and on this training you will use earth-based universal, spiritual ways to bring yourself into balance.

The training provides a sound, safe, grounded and comprehensive understanding of the basic healing skills and knowledge you will need to practice shamanic healing, if that is what you, and spirit, decide to do.

We will work as a tribe, the way the old people did, and feel the safety, holding and reflection of this healing dynamic. Individuals will be guided according to their needs and encouraged to achieve their fullest potential within the circle.

Over six workshops you will be introduced to these ancient arts: soul retrieval; extraction; how to heal fear, both personal and global; spiritual blessings; cleansing and purification of houses; healing with plant and tree spirits; shamanic dreaming; the cycles of life and death, including how to work with people who are dying; psychopomp work; ancestral contact and the breaking of ancestral curses and patterns; divination; and working with nature spirits.

The training is for beginners as well as those who already work with the principles of shamanism and want to go deeper.

For further information please see Northern Drum website.

Zero Balancing is a gentle yet powerful method of balancing body energy with body structure using skilled touch. Regular Zero Balancing sessions release stress and tension held in our bodies and minds, helping to maintain good health. Zero Balancing can relieve symptoms caused by energetic or structural imbalance through encouraging flexibility and alignment with an approach which is truly holistic. It was developed by an American Osteopathic Physician, Dr Fritz Frederick Smith MD, integrating western knowledge of our body with oriental insights into energy.

The annual Zero Balancing Masterclass at Gaunts House is specifically for existing practitioners or those who have already started their training in Zero Balancing. It is an opportunity to refine and deepen Zero Balancing skills, in the company of fellow Zero Balancers, as well as building community, celebrating those who have Certified in the past year and supporting the continuing growth of Zero Balancing in the UK.
This year Jim McCormick will be teaching alongside the UK Zero Balancing teachers. Jim was at acupuncture school in Leamington with Fritz Smith in the early 1970's, was the first person to become a certified Zero Balancer and the first teacher after Fritz Smith. Based in the USA, Jim has been teaching Zero Balancing for 35 years. This will be the first time he has taught in the UK.

A QUEST FOR MEANING tells the story of Marc and Nathanaël, two childhood friends who take an impromptu road trip attempting to uncover the causes of our current global crisis and to discover a way to bring about change. The two friends invite us to share their quest as they meet with activists, biologists, philosophers, and custodians of ancient traditions. Equipped with nothing more than a tiny camera and a microphone they document some of the solutions that are laying the foundations for a sustainable world.

This event has now been unfortunately cancelled, we hope you can make it to the next one.

Come and join us for an evening of connection. Our third conscious clubbing at Gaunts House. We had such an amazing time on our second that we felt the event was worth doing again and as long as we have that feeling then we will! We have the DJ’s, the space and the beautiful grounds of Gaunts House.
So if you fancy coming to join us for 3 hours of conscious connection with three hours of DJ sets then get your tickets fast……..
We are happy for this event to be £10

There will be a non alcoholic and drug free policy and we will have raw chocolate stand where you can buy all sorts of goodies ………

    So whats it all about?
We have found as we have become more sensitive we have felt the need less and less to use some sort of substance to help us relax on the dance floor.

    Tickets £10 from Eventbrite.

On Saturday Night the 21st of July Gaunts House invites you to enjoy a candle lit evening of music.

Come along from 6pm for a swim in the pool or a walk around the grounds. The bar will be open for refreshments.

OMER MAKESSA is a master percussionist, experienced performer and singer and songwriter from Martinique in the Caribbean; an island with a vibrant multi-cultural music scene. Omer grew up in a musical family, introduced to music by his father from a young age.

An accomplished musician with extensive knowledge of African, Latin and Caribbean styles, Omer fuses these styles in his own compositions. He sings in three languages, reflecting the fusion of cultures in the Caribbean.

“I communicate the spirit and the impulsive and happy lifestyle of Martinique in my songs; which connect to life, love, nature and come from deep within my heart.”

    PLUS! VICTOR CHETCUTI

Like a lot of musicians with a real and true gift of talent, Self taught Victor Chetcuti refers to himself as just “another singer/songwriter”, but Victors musical performances are anything but average.
Originally his musical journey was unintentional and his only motive was to survive. Travelling around the Middle East he has quite literally and successfully sung for his supper. This changed when he realised that singing other peoples songs was not for him, and he found his flow writing his own songs. As these songs were shared, he began to realise the impact they had on people. Invoking strong emotional response from complete strangers, he pressed on with his journey and the decision to make music his life.
His mission is to share his music with as many souls as possible and we are over the moon to be able to help him with this.

“Music is a universal language, it is a blessed gift”

This retreat combines yoga, mindfulness, creativity, and is designed to help you relax, stretch and detox. The weekend will rejuvenate your body, mind and soul, and revive you at many levels as a human being. Take a break from your busy life and join us for a wonderful weekend in the beautiful and peaceful countryside. The weekend will include four 90-minute yoga classes taught by yoga teacher, Sherin Shefik, who will mainly teach vinyasa flow yoga, but also combines lots of different styles of yoga into her teaching, (including yin, restorative, hatha, ashtanga, acro and partner yoga). The classes are suitable for all levels. Each class will be designed around one of four natural elements: earth (grounding), air (opening), fire (igniting) and water (letting go). There are numerous mindfulness meditations, practices and discussions, which will be led by mindfulness teachers Deborah Wharton and Shenel Shefik. There will be other diverse and exciting activities on the programme too, a poetry workshop (where you will get to try your hand at writing a poem), mindful dance (you might be given a blind-fold!), and a life coaching workshop. We have Scania, an excellent local practitioner of massage and reflexology and she can be booked in advance or on site for additional cost.

The variety and fullness of this programme means that there is something for everyone, whether you come alone or with your partner or friends/family. All sessions are, of course, optional so you can pick and choose as you flow through the weekend.

Breathe is delighted to welcome you to this weekend event, the first Breathwork festival in the UK.

It is a gift to you! An opportunity to relax and revive: to inhale and receive, to exhale and let go...........

Held in the beautiful location of Gaunts House in the Dorset countryside, Breathe is generously and lovingly supported by some of the world's leading practitioners, speakers, movers and shakers in the Breathwork world and beyond.  The key note speakers this year are Dan Brule and Anthony Abbagnano. They, as well as Sophia Magdalena and Rebecca Dennis, will deliver group Breathwork and individual sessions. There will also be a fire ceremony to open the gathering with Vicky Sinclair and Christian Platts, morning yoga with Jeannine Goh, a dance session with Louisa Love to help integrate the work done in the Breathwork sessions, and a gong bath with Roger Gong.

Breathwork is a general term describing numerous available modalities that use the breath as a main tool for exploring alternate states of consciousness, meditation, as well as in therapy and for improving physical health. People around the world, seeing the power of it, have used breath as a healing tool since ancient times. Even Latin words for breath and spirit are the same.

The process we are exploring at Breathe, uses very simple technique of conscious connected breathing to activate the natural healing abilities that we all hold within us. It is a totally natural and safe way to explore the mind, body and soul. At Breathe we welcome all kinds of modalities of breathwork into the same space, for a shared common purpose of healing, inspiring and connecting people. WE INVITE YOU TO COME AND EXPLORE WITH US.

This annual event is going to be truly amazing: for people of all ages and experience in breath work.......

Mark Kitchell brings us the story of organic agriculture, told by those who built the movement. A motley crew of back-to-the-landers, spiritual seekers and farmers’ sons and daughters rejected modern chemical farming and set out to invent organic alternatives. The movement grew from a small band of rebels to a cultural transformation in the way we grow and eat food. By now organic has mainstreamed, become both an industry oriented toward bringing organic to all people, and a movement that realized a vision of sustainable agriculture.

Now in its sixth year, this unique and ever popular weekend retreat returns to Gaunts House.  This year the retreat will be focusing exclusively on Space Clearing and the rich energetic history and spiritual influences both in and around the property.

Through a series of workshops and lots of practical experience we will explore how you can discern if a space needs clearing, how the symptoms of this may manifest and the tools you can use to clear it safely and effectively. We will look at portals, different types of Spirit activity including elementals, energy lines, geopathic stress, imprints, House and Land Guardians, blocked or stuck energy, the impact of humans and their energy and much more besides.

During the weekend, there will be the exciting opportunity to do a night time walk through the main house to tune into the prevalent spiritual activity there, and, if appropriate, to clear it. Throughout the day (weather permitting), we will investigate the extensive grounds and learn how to work with dowsing rods and pendulums.

The weekend retreats at Gaunts are always filled with interesting energetic experiences and you will be taught lots of tips and techniques that you can continue to use either personally or professionally long after the retreat is over.

From daily yoga & meditation, with Jo Pitcher; sacred circle time, chanting & dancing, to women’s hormonal health & empowerment sessions; a creative soul journey with Jaci Legge-Elliott; shamanic drum journey with JoRae & Saturday night Sound Bath with Michelle Beagley of Body-Rhythms, this weekend is all about you.

Gaunts House is a place of peace & profound learning, a natural & ideal setting for you to be nurtured & held. With amazing vegetarian menus, catering for dietary requirements & warm comfy rooms with spectacular views, you will be served with love and care.

JoRae is a holistic women’s practitioner & I have put this weekend together to offer you access to a group of awesome women & our own unique offerings for growth, deep connection, self-care, self-love. Before we can authentically serve others, we must first be whole and well ourselves.

As women, we are not routinely being educated to do this. This weekend will focus on providing you with a toolkit to fill with the practices of those of us who have explored, tried and tested profound yet often simple techniques & found them to be both healing and wholesome.

I am so excited to offer you this sacred, safe space to share, to explore & learn from all of us sassy, profound, profane women there present.

It will also include time for you to take some space in the ancient surroundings or chose to book one of the limited 1-1 therapy sessions.

Our programme is packed with mind, body & spiritual practices & a whole heap of fun!

Laughter after all is so very healing.

    For when women sit together, it is magic;

    It is pure alchemy!

Leading Biodanza sessions at the Summer Gathering has been one of the highlights of my year since 2012 and I have very fond memories of co-leading a weekend retreat there in the October of that year too... so I'm particularly excited to be back offering a regular monthly vivencia in that beautiful space!

If you've not experienced it before, Biodanza is an incredibly diverse dance/movement based system of human psycho-social integration and personal development. Through guided classes or 'vivencias', participants are invited to explore their own relationship to what the creator of Biodanza, Professor Rolando Toro Araneda, called 'The Five Lines' - five fundamental aspects of life that weave together to create the foundation for all human experience - these are Vitality, Creativity, Affectivity, Sexuality and Transcendence.

But in practice, it is so much more than can be described in a short blurb for a website... Biodanza creates a space in which to play, to unlearn and unpick many of the social strictures and conditionings that serve to keep us isolated and alone, bereft of nurturing connection and support from our fellow travellers on this marvellous journey. Through rediscovering our unique expression of selfhood, we come to a beatific realisation of our deep rooted commonality and perhaps catch glimpses of the divine unity that is our true nature.

No previous Biodanza experience is necessary, just come and explore this Dance of Life with us.

Any questions, feel free to email me - milarepa75@gmail.com or look for 'Biodanza with Mila' on Facebook.

Classes run from 7.30 - 10.00 and begin on Thursday September 27th.
Cost £10. It is a good idea to bring water and to wear clothes that allow free movement. Although there is heating in the Theatre, it is also a good idea to layer up in the winter months!

Classes continue on the following dates
    Thursday October 25th
    Thursday November 29th
    Thursday December 20th

After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery shopping cold turkey and survive only on foods that would otherwise be thrown away. In a nation where one in 10 people is food insecure, the images they capture of squandered groceries are both shocking and strangely compelling.

Join Scania for a Full Moon Gong Bath at Gaunts House 7-8pm

    Relax and unwind.

The Gong is one of man’s most powerful and oldest transformational and therapeutic instruments. It has been used for ritual, ceremony, prayer, and meditation since the Bronze Age. Its sound is relaxing and calming, centering and energising, transforming and healing. Gongs have been used in yoga, sound meditation, and vibrational therapy from the distant past to present.

    ARRIVE

Arrive at the venue and allow yourself time to settle. Bring something comfy to lay on, pillow, blanket and water. A brief explanation of what will happen in the hour will take place.

    THE GONG BATH

Scania will play the gongs for around 45-50mins and end with some softer sounds. These sounds drift into silence. The Gong is struck to signify the end of the session.

    THE END

Allowing the silence to wash over you. Then after about 5 mins you are invited to come around in your own time, no need to rush or hurry.

    HOME CARE

It’s always a good idea to drink water after the session. Allow time to check in how you are feeling and allowing yourself time to integrate the session and what it has meant to you. Dreams can be interesting after a Gong Bath!

This is a story about clothing. It’s about the clothes we wear, the people who make them and the impact it’s having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking new documentary film that pulls back the curtain on an unseen part of our world and asks us each to consider, who pays the price for our clothing?

Treat yourself to a day of nourishment and re-connection. Slow down in the beautiful ballroom of Gaunt's House.

This day aims to introduce you to Chen style Tai Chi as a means of developing self awareness, increasing energy levels and grounding ourselves within the busyness of life. The movement sessions will be interspersed with guided mindfulness meditations to come back to stillness and back to the breath. All ages and abilities are welcome. Whether you have a regular movement or meditation practice in place or you are keen to try something new.

Gaunt's house will provide a delicious, healthy vegetarian/vegan lunch and Linda and Stuart will provide healthy snacks and herbal teas throughout the day

The Tai Chi sessions will be guided by Stuart Ward who is a 12th generation lineage holder and disciple to Grandmaster Kongjie Gou. The Mindfulness will be guided by Linda Thomas who studied a 2 year post-graduate programme in teaching mindfulness at the university of Bangor.

Both are passionate about what they do and would love to share this with a group of like-minded people.

Gaunts House invites you for a sit down 2 course gormet meal followed by an intimate concert in the Ballroom from Jeremy Johnson.

British singer songwriter Jeremy Johnson combines poetic narrative songwriting, sonorous vocals and accomplished guitar melodies in his powerful, intricately constructed music.

Jeremy’s first self released album ‘32nd Orbit’ enjoyed significant local radio play in the midlands on both BBC Introducing and Touch FM, leading to a BBC interview at BBC Introducing Live by DJ Andrew Marston. Right now Jeremy is working on his second album with producer Simon Britcliffe (Snow Patrol, Keane) at Decoy Studios in Suffolk which is due for general release in March 2019. Just the right time to come and play us some of his new music at Gaunts House.

This Retreat offers an opportunity to refresh and revive your mind, body and spirit, working with two highly experienced Qigong teachers in this beautiful venue. Known as ‘mindful movement’ or ‘moving meditation’, Qigong is a gentle, relaxing and strengthening exercise which helps calm the mind and enliven the body. The retreat is suitable for all levels – beginners or experienced Qigong practitioners.

Sally Ibbotson and Tricia Teahan are skilled and experienced Teachers of Qigong and this is the fourth retreat they have led together.

Sally and Tricia will be teaching at a relaxed pace over the retreat days.

Our aim is to teach you, through demonstration and working together with you, a gradual step by step approach to the Elemental work, based on both our experiences, so that by the end of the retreat you will have a complete sequence to practice on your own.

The Qigong movements we will cover are based on the Five Elements Theory - a Chinese philosophy used to describe interactions and relationships between things. The five elements — Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire — are believed to be the fundamental elements of everything in the universe between which interactions occur. Each Element will have a series of movements and walks.

The schedule is flexible, and pace is often dictated by the participants’ needs. The most important aim is that you enjoy the movements and walks and allow yourself to move and flow with ease as you practice. There will be time for reflection with breaks throughout the day, as well as time to enjoy some walks in nature in the beautiful grounds of Gaunt's House or a swim (there is an open-air swimming pool on the grounds).

A ‘You Tube’ video of some of the work will be available after the retreat.

    FEEDBACK FROM PREVIOUS EVENTS

"I felt relaxed and uplifted… great teaching, flexible schedule and appropriate 'time out’..."

"Your instructions were clear and the You Tube videos provided great back up after the retreat"

" I so enjoyed the venue and was pleased to work outside."

To offer an accessible affordable space that people can come to reboot, rebalance and reintegrate .

In circle and alone, using all elements (fire, wind, earth, water and air) we experience Sound Medicine and access Portals into our depths. With the support of Scania and Heike and our retreat family, this journey is possible to allow you to relax and come back home to yourself transformed.

We will acknowledge that we have just passed the Summer Solistice when this retreat starts. This open and perfect place is perfect to access visible connection between sky and earth, body and soul for deep Gong work, drumming, singing, healing and celebration. You are welcome to have private retreat time as well as integration when you want it.

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. You can do all of the workshops or dip in when you feel like it. It is after all your retreat time.

The intention behind this Sound Medicine retreat is to dive into the healing alchemy of sound medicine. Sound healing is rooted in the principle that everything in existence is made of micro-vibrations and to keep our body/heart/mind in good health it makes sense to keep ourselves in tune. Through vocal practices, healing instruments, intention and tuning ourselves back into nature, we are able to bring ourselves back into vibrational alignment.

This retreat is suitable for all adults and all levels of experience, all we need is an open heart. Great care will be taken to ensure that everyone feels they have support and feels safe and comfortable at all times.
