Wire and Paper Modelling
with Peter Rush

26 October 2007 - 28 October 2007

Developed by the artist, this paper technique allows literally anyone to become excited about the mediium, stimulated by the method and equipped to create sculpture with unusual effects. During Peter's countless popular workshops, the step-by-step process has been experienced with great delight by many hundreds of people of all ages and abilities. No further recommendations are needed: this is art for all.

Peter Rush writes in his beautiful book, "Rush on Paper":

"I have become increasingly aware of the privilege that goes with introducing all manner of people to this modelling technique. My respect for a medium that enables so many people to bring their models through with such success is continually reconfirmed. Such results are a tribute to the marvellous sensitivity of this softened-moulded humble kitchen roll and the startling graphic qualities of papers like typing and copy paper. They trigger off dormant, but quite unsullied, tactile memory in us, and it is this awakened intelligence that lends such authority to our work."

The weekend is fully residential; £168 for shared accommodation, £7.50/£17.50 supplement for single/en-suite rooms. The price includes all meals (vegetarian) and refreshments throughout the day. Non-residential rates are available.
