Drawn Home
with Meriel Hoare

06 December 2007 - 09 December 2007

Using hands, fingers and natural instruments like bamboo reeds, goose quills, brushes, charcoal, chalk, ink, water and music, we touch out on our paper that which touches us in the human form; not merely accurate attributes, but the poetry that is carried via the form; the content of humanity. Drawing from this approach, without the desire for results, we touch Beingness, which is our basic nature. Touching the atmosphere, the fragrance, the silence of a pose, with love, with wonder, with enquiry, can help us to surrender what the mind thinks it knows, leaving us free to explore what actually is, and also, paradoxically, produces drawings which are way beyond our ability to 'do'.

The price for the shorter course is £325 for shared accommodation, £22.50/£47.50 supplement per weekend for single/en-suite rooms. The price includes all meals (vegetarian), refreshments and a starter roll of paper for the course. Non-residential rates are available.
