About Gaunts Print E-mail
posterior.jpgGaunts is set in almost 2000 acres of Dorset countryside. We have a small lake; woods, which in the spring are carpeted with bluebells; a stone circle set out to correspond with many ancient traditions including runic and astrological lore.

a roving and frequently visible community of deer; and rolling fields filled with majestic, often ancient trees. The grounds are cared for in an environmentally friendly way, and are open to all to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of nature.

The house is an 18th century mansion, with large, comfortable rooms; log fires and windows looking out over sweeping grounds; the largest workshop space can seat 150.

All meals are home cooked and vegetarian, served in the dining room. We have a licensed bar, opened at the request of the group leader.

We have accommodation and workspace for up to 110 people, and regularly cater for courses such as yoga, psychotherapy, sound and energetic healing,  shamanism, deprived youth group work and organisations dealing with addictions and abuse. posterior.jpgThe courses are fully residential, encompassing all meals, snacks and accommodation. We have shared, single, double and en suite rooms available. Please contact us if you would like to hold a course here. You can see more of our facilities here.

We welcome people individually on retreat for both long and short stays, with comfortable en-suite facilities and full board.

Also welcome are volunteers, who come to work here on an energy exchange basis, living in and participating in daily work with the staff and community members.

Our therapy rooms are always available, and we are happy to make arrangements for you with our list of complementary therapists.
